Have you seen the “Listen, Listen, Listen“ video clip yet?
If you have not, you better do so now to find out how sick and disgusting our local universities have become.
This 20 minute video clip posted on YouTube last week was an Internet sensation on Facebook and Twitter, taking the whole country by storm.
Glad to know there was a young and courageous undergraduate by the name of Bavani KS who dared to stand up and speak her mind. However, she was stopped half-way by a bitchy forum panelist who marched up to the young girl and snatched her microphone away.
This poor girl was then subjected to much public humiliation. In the end, the bitchy one took complete control over the entire event. Knowing it was futile to talk further to such an uncivilized audience, the young girl simply walked away gracefully.
Of course for the past two days, that super bitch was whacked by the Netizens into a pitiful pulp. Last heard she had gone into hiding, very wounded and with her sorry tail in between. There is even a campaign to get that bitch to publicly apologize to the poor girl.
There are a few lessons to be learned from this episode.
Lesson number one. It is very uncouth to interrupt somebody’s speech even though you do not agree with her. Let her finish speaking first before you speak your piece. In the video, the bitchy one marched down the hall and grabbed the microphone away from the girl who was in the midst of her argument. And having this unprofessional conduct coming from a public speaker is simply unbelievable. Where did she learned her PR, I really do wonder.
After taking over the microphone from the girl, the bitchy one then started her mad and crazy tirade. “When I speak, you listen!” Listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen…….she berated on and on, eleven times all in, to the girl and the other students in the hall.
“When I speak, you listen!” reminded me so much of my intimidating teachers in MGS long long ago. Many of them also used to speak to their students this way. I guessed they learned this from their teachers and passed this disgusting trait to the next generation. Then, as nervous little girls, we remained very timid and frightened, almost breaking into tears and shivering with fears.
But now, if you speak in this manner to your subordinates, for sure you will find yourself in great trouble, it is almost like asking for suicide. Just remember, this is the technology age. We have wonderful and powerful tools called YouTube, Facebook and Twitter. The users of these social media can be very mean, nasty and merciless ( go ask Jessie Ooi or Chua Soi Lek) and they can munched you up in no time if you are caught behaving very badly in public. Also, serf mentalities are no longer tolerated anymore in this modern age. You want to be master but hey, nobody wants to be your slave! We are all born free and we take no more bullying. This is lesson number two.
Lesson number three is stop telling us where to go. “Do not compare Malaysia with other countries; if you wish to compare Malaysia with other countries, what are you doing in Malaysia? Go to Cuba, go to Argentina, go to Libya, go everywhere!” the crazy bitch barked this to the girl. Hey, this is NOT the way for one Malaysian to speak to another Malaysian. Who are you to tell us where to go? Where we want to go is our own business and none of yours. We were born here, we grew up here and it’s our right to remain here forever, got it? Any problem with this?
Lesson number four is, even though you are an adult and in a more senior position, stop demanding respects from anyone. Remember this, respects have to be earned and not demanded. Even though you are older or more educated than me, this does not mean I have to respect you if you are a murderer, a rapist, a liar, a thief or a racist. If you are younger or less educated than me but displayed good values and conducts, I will definitely give you my utmost respect, promise!
And finally, please do not dragged the poor animals into the mud. “Do you think only humans have problems? I will show you who else has problems. Animals have problems too. Cats have problems. When it asks for food, we kick, right? God made cats like that – if it can talk, it will. We are angry with dogs. What else have problems? Cows, goats have problems. We slaughter them – we humans are so cruel, right? Fishes too have problems….” this mad woman who has a university degree and is a forum speaker went on and on with her nonsense. Obviously she is using her asshole to speak and not her brains for it is clear she has none.
No wonder, Namewee made fun of her……talk three, talk four, talk east, talk west, he sang in his “Tokok” parody. Please, for heaven sake, spare these innocent animals as they too, have dignities.
And she even jeered the poor girl cruelly, “the difference between you and me is a degree and O levels. You have a very least of education.” So what if you have a degree but acted like a bitch on heat in public? So please stop looking down on those less educated than you are. Many of them are more noble in thoughts and conducts than a university degree holder like this mad woman.
See, never ever act stupid in public. Eyes and ears are all over the place and news travels very fast. I supposed this is the power and beauty of the Internet.

I am a third generation Indian Malaysian. I have never set foot in India. I am sure India does not want me either. I served and still serving the country, speak the national language (A2 for BM in SPM), vote in every election and pay my taxes. I have every right to stay here. Don’t you dare tell me to go to India!
Hi Farouk,
I am so proud of you, my dear fellow Malaysian! Stay firmly where you are cos’ there is no place like home sweet home and we all know Malaysia is our home.
Imagine, if everybody balik Tongsan or balik India, who is going to pay the taxes?
Then, there will be no hospitals, no schools, no roads, no highways…nothing!
Ahem! Language, Ipohgal. Still, you’ve every right to be angry, hahaha!
“So what if you have a degree?”
A long time ago, Arthur C. Clark said that a basic degree of the 1960s was no better than a high school diploma a generation earlier. So just imagine the quality of a degree holder today. Thus, you’re right, Ipohgal, and not merely she acted like a “bitch”: her behavior shows she lacks even the basic informal education everyone – East or West – should have. In Cantonese we say “mo kar kow” or a lack of proper upbringing, which is also an insult to her parents. No point getting mad at the low-life: she is already condemned by her own stupidity.
A bit of digression here: for over two weeks large sections of KL citizens from Cheras and the Pandan districts had to struggle with a lack of water supply. Evidently, the supplier (Syabas company) had not done proper maintenance on their water pumps. Syabas had arrogantly ignored the hardships of tens of thousands of people until numerous public protests and a warning by the Mentri Besar Khalid Ibrahim made the news. Water finally flowed about a couple of days ago, but a burst pipe and lots of complaints from some Pandan Jaya residents still find no response. Such atrocious behavior is typical of many big government-supported companies largely because they were seldom selected for their merits, but for their “donations” to some politically-connected people. Cronyism will destroy this country, if corruption and racism don’t do it first.
Hi Larry,
I’m angry only because the actions of this badly brought up bully has tarnished the good names of all women in this country but fortunately for us, we have brave and courageous Bavani KS to save the day!
On the other hand, I am so happy to see more and more young and brave people standing up to speak the truth. We should have more Bavanis to help the country pick up the pieces.
LOL (make it 11 times, ok?)….of course you and I know very well that phase is not aimed at anyone but that super bitch who by now is so notorious throughout the cyberworld. What a good way for her to learn about humility and politeness. Well done to her for getting such instant notoriety! Well done, well done, well done (another 11 times).
On the hindsight, all of us should thank her – who knows the stupid, useless and racist Biro Tata Negara brainwashing sessions in our local universities will soon be a thing of the past because these evil activities does not have a place in our society and they are a complete waste of the taxpayer’s money.
That condescending phase, “When I speak, you listen!” is not something new in our country. Some of my primary school-teachers used to utter this in class when the pupils got too noisy or asked questions mid-way. But just because our teachers, seniors or elders used them in the past means we should continue using it now. It is downright crude, period. A better and more polite way would be, “May I have your attention please?” Just the humble opinion of a housewife with the least of “pendidikan.”
The bottom line of this whole episode is, never ever act aggressive or like a bully, especially in public. Those around you could spread your ugliness around the world in less than a minute, thanks to modern technology. The latest on Facebook – T-shirts with the words “Listen, listen, listen!” is selling like hotcakes in the market, all for RM25 each.
As for the water woes, I have my fair share of muddy water coming out from the taps but Syabas ought to know, cruel tactics often backfired, especially when it involves something as essential as water. Just wait and see how long they can play with fire before being get burned during the coming election.
I have every right to live here. She talks rubbish and very low mentality. She should not be there Sharifah.. opening your mouth made you a fool.
Completely with you on this, Sheila! As Plato, the famous Greek philosopher (427 BC to 347 BC) said, “Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools, because they have to say something.”
Nice write up, Ipohgal. She is just showing his stupidity to all malaysians. We love this country, but that does not mean we will keep quiet on what is going on. We have to stand out for our rights!
I hate the word “When I speak, you listen”. What sort of statement is that? We should encourage students to speak more, to be outspoken in the public, and not a timid person listening to instructions.
There are some international folks looking for a complete english version of the episode. Maybe can submit this article to them. Good job again Ipohgal.
You’re welcome, Andrew!
“When I speak, you listen!” is the most ill-bred statement that could come out from anyone’s mouth. Only people so full of themselves will speak in such a disgusting manner.
I feel so angry after watching the video. The biatch just made a fool of herself. I wonder what she is going to say after she comes out of hiding. Honestly, I don’t know which is more sad, the attitude of the arrogant biatch or the applause from the students at every sentence she said.
Hi Barb,
I think something good came out from this episode – it taught us to be more careful each time we open our mouth in public unless we don’t mind being caught acting or speaking like stupid fools.
In my books, both the arrogant bitch and the spineless students who cheered for her are equally moronic.
There is a wise saying: “Be quick to listen but slow to speak.” We must learn to listen to what is wise and not rubbish. For the wise they will assess the whole situation before they speak slowly and surely. Only fools prate on and seems right in their own eyes. Think it is suffice on the subject of the foolish woman.
What I wish to state is, those undergraduates who do not know how to analyse the right from the wrong. What the subject matter is all about and so easily sway by emotions. They are truly not listening carefully. The way they clap their hands and shouts of approval with the pratering woman, is indeed very worrisome. What type of education our youth are getting from the public universities nowadays. They indicates lack of knowledge and principle.
How sad to see our education in the universities churning out mindless graduates. They are suppose to be the future leaders of our country. If they keep churning graduates with this type of caliber, may God has mercy on us.
Hi Katherine, now you know why none of our local universities could make it to the world’s top 200 or even 400? And we really have Bapa IC to thank for, the rots starts during his days.
